Classification

Understanding your membership category, rights, responsibilities, and how to apply for full membership within MSCA.

1 Ordinary Members

Ordinary Members shall enjoy full membership rights within the Malaysian Sub Contractors Association (MSCA).

Ordinary Members are entitled to:

  • Participate in all official activities, meetings, programs, and engagements organised by the association
  • Vote and participate in elections of the association
  • Hold office and contest for positions within the association, subject to eligibility requirements
  • Participate in discussions, committees, and development activities of the association
  • Receive official notices, updates, and benefits made available to members
  • Contribute towards the direction, development, and growth of the association in accordance with the constitution, rules, and disciplinary framework of MSCA

All Ordinary Members are expected to uphold the values, ethics, discipline, professionalism, and integrity of the association at all times.

2 Associate Members

Associate Membership is an honorary and discretionary membership category extended by the association to selected individuals, companies, professionals, entrepreneurs, supporters, or parties deemed beneficial to the association's ecosystem and networking objectives.

Associate Members:

  • May be invited to participate in selected activities, events, meetings, networking sessions, training programs, delegations, expos, or engagements organised by the association
  • May receive opportunities for networking, collaboration, and engagement through the association platform
  • Shall not possess voting rights within the association
  • Shall not hold office or contest for elected positions within the association
  • Shall not interfere with, dictate, influence, or participate in the operational management, governance, policy-making, disciplinary matters, or decision-making processes of the association

Associate Membership is provided strictly on a discretionary and goodwill basis.

As no mandatory fees, subscriptions, or monetary payments are required or requested for Associate Membership, the association reserves the absolute right to suspend, revoke, terminate, or withdraw such membership at any time, with or without notice, explanation, or reason.

The association's decision in such matters shall be final.

3 Affiliate Members

Affiliate Membership is a discretionary membership category extended by the association to associations, institutions, chambers, educational bodies, and other organisations interested in collaborating with MSCA and supporting the development of the subcontracting industry.

Affiliate Members:

  • May be invited to participate in selected collaboration initiatives, programmes, events, and engagements organised by the association, subject to approval and the relevant programme conditions
  • May receive opportunities for institutional networking and collaboration through the association platform
  • Shall not possess voting rights within the association
  • Shall not hold office or contest for elected positions within the association
  • Shall not interfere with, dictate, influence, or participate in the operational management, governance, policy-making, disciplinary matters, or decision-making processes of the association

Affiliate Membership is provided strictly on a discretionary and goodwill basis.

4 Application for Ordinary Membership

Associate Members who wish to become Ordinary Members may submit a formal application subject to:

  • Payment of applicable membership fees
  • Verification and evaluation procedures
  • Compliance with the association's rules, ethics, and standards
  • Approval by the Council or authorised governing body of MSCA

Submission of an application shall not constitute automatic approval.

All approvals remain solely at the discretion of the Council of the association.
